title:The Race For My...I think... LIFE!
date:Sunday, May 01, 2005 | Sunday, May 01, 2005

Today is Sunday. A day where usually nothing really goes wrong and I go for my Sunday dance classes without having a slight problem about coming home on my own. In fact, I came home earlier today cause we had self practice before our examinations this coming wednesday onwards.... BUT...................... today had to be the DAY, the DAY that I would be almost running for my dear LIFE, and it started like this...

After our four hours of non-stop dancing and hopping around with blasting music around the whole dance studio, I checked if I brought every single thing that I came with. (in short, "made sure") . Hmm... so I took bus 174 home sending funny messages to my mum! It was funny, until.. I reached my stop, the one outside shell station, near the bukit timah market!! That was when the real action started!!!! I was walking down the bridge on the other side all joyous and everything when I noticed this groupof three indian man walking right below me. One of these guys, looked up and I so happened to look down and caught my glance of that man I ignored after that glance.
Not long, I was at the little "fork" junction near the Bukit Timah B1 enterence, and soon from a far, I noticed the direction of the where the indian guy in black was coming from! I then thought to myself " If he were to walk to the direction towards the "enterence", I would walk the other way, but if he walked to the other direction which was the one towards the green gate, I would go the other way." So, i walked to the bukit timah direction and realise after a second that he was behind me!! Boy, was I scared!!!! I walked faster and fasTER!!! I pretended to go into bukit timah's supermarket to check some stuff up. Not long, I lost sight.....
..........but...................... it seems that I did not after all! I saw one of his friends walking one floor below me, right under my nose while I was walking calmly back. Worried, I quickly went up the escalator and there was this couple who was standing infront of me all "lovey dovey" etc etc... and kind of blocking my way. I was even more worried!! Reached the 1st floor and I rushed out as smoothly as possible... almost in tears and lost as to what to do when you are in desperate need of help. Could not even find my HANDPHONE!! ahhhh!!!!
So, I ran home as fast as possible and lost sight of those "toots"!! Just as I felt safe, the security guard at my house mistook me as a visitor!! Which made think that it was dead end for me if I did not manage to get through!!!!! FRUSTRATION!! But, good thing I got that settled, giving her that look as to why she does not even know residents from visitors!! haloooo!!! you awake!!
In the end.. I did get myself back at my home sweet home!
So that leaves me with a conclusion, that when you face this problem:
- Don't PANIC! breathe!!
- Pray and ask God for safety and a mind to think right.
- Never walk to any dark places but walk into the nearest LIGHTED place with many people!!
(especially for girls and ladies)
- Remember to charge your phone in case of emergency!!
- Thank God for everything he has done for you.
